As you might have noticed, favorites of february didn't make their appearance on the blog. The reason is: I'm always late but sometimes this lateness goes out of hand, like happened last month. So I found myself with a post about the monthly favorites on my blog drafts but I didn't complete it until, well, now. So I decided to join that post with the one about my favorites of March.

La ragione è: sono una ritardataria cronica ma talvolta questo ritardo sfugge al controllo, come è accaduto lo scorso mese. Mi sono quindi ritrovata con un post sui preferiti del mese nelle bozze del blog ma non l'ho mai completato fino a, beh ecco, fino ad ora. Ed ho così pensato di unire questo post con quello sui preferiti del mese di marzo.
Rouge Bunny Rouge Milk Aquarelle foundation*
Another month, same foundation. I'm going through this bottle at the speed of light considering the foundation lover I am (that means I own too many and I rarely stick to only one for such a long time). Nonetheless I've been using Milk Aquarelle for three months now pretty much every time I do my make up. It has that light to medium coverage, with that mousse-like consistency and that natural finish...I absolutely love it. It doesn't even accentuate the dryness of my skin in wintertime, like any other foundation I'd say, and that's why I love it even more.
Un altro mese, stesso fondotinta. I millilitri nella boccetta si stanno riducendo alla velocità della luce considerando quanto io sia fissata coi fondotinta (il che significa che ne possiedo decisamente troppi e che raramente uso sempre lo stesso per lunghi periodi di tempo). Eppure ormai da tre mesi sto utilizzando felicemente il Milk Aquarelle praticamente ogni volta che mi trucco. Ha quella coprenza da leggera a media, quella texture che ricorda un po' una mousse, quel finish naturale che...mi piace, decisamente. Non accentua neppure le aree secche della mia pelle nel periodo invernale, come nessun altro fondotinta direi, e per questo lo apprezzo ancora di più.

I've becoming more and more a fan of the shadows applied and smudged under the lower lash line. I find it really adds dimension to my eyes and makes a lot of a difference. And with this tiny brush with short and stiff bristles is easy peasy to achieve that result.
Sto diventando sempre più fan dell'ombretto applicato e sfumato sotto le ciglia inferiori. Trovo che aggiunga dimensione all'occhio e faccia molta differenza. E con questo micro pennello con le setole corte e ben compatte è ancor più facile ottenere quel risultato.

Nabla Ghost lip pencil*
An anti-feathering lip pencil without silicones and "nasty" ingredients that also works greatly? Yes, it does exist. Nabla Ghost in fact has a translucent lead made of natural waxes. With this I can finally (finally!) use those lipglosses and those liquid lipsticks that bleed like there's no tomorrow - I'm looking especially at you, infamous Chanel Dragon (Rouge Allure Laque): it lay unused in my drawer but I have dug it up since Nabla Ghost arrived at my doorstep.I've becoming more and more a fan of the shadows applied and smudged under the lower lash line. Una matita contenitiva (esiste? Si dice così? O possiamo dirlo solo dei collant?) senza siliconi e senza i soliti ingredienti noti come "schifezze" ma che funzioni pure alla grande? Sì, esiste.
La Ghost di Nabla ha infatti una mina, dal tratto trasparente, composta da cere naturali. Con lei posso finalmente (e sottolineamo questo finalmente) usare quei gloss e quei rossetti liquidi che sbavano come non ci fosse un domani - sto guardando soprattutto te, famoso Chanel Dragon (Rouge Allure Laque): giaceva inutilizzato nel cassetto ma l'ho dissoterrato da quando la Ghost ha bussato alla mia porta di casa.
Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette
Well, I caved in. I eventually got the Chocolate Bar and I regret nothing.
After the failure of the NARSissist, finally a palette that lived up to my expectations.
Lately I've been using only this and the Urban Decay Naked Basic on a daily basis.
I do appreciate the overall quality and the chromatic selection composed of an array of brown (with warm undertones) and a hint of burgundy here and there - also of a glittery purple that I'm in love with even though it needs some tricks in order to make it work at its best.

Nabla blush Fluid Love*
A sort of peachy pink-coral liquid blush that I love for the 'healthy look' it gives to my face - and for the formulation too. At first I thought - for no good reason - that it wouldn't be that handy due to the packaging and that it wouldn't blend easily. Nothing more wrong. Applying Fluid Love is quick and easy and all you need to do is just dabbing a tiny bit of blush on the cheeks and it will blend effortlessly just with fingertips. It also lasts on me for hours, and hours.
Una sorta di pesca, rosa-corallo sottoforma di blush liquido che mi piace molto per l'effetto "salute" che ricrea - ed anche per la formulazione. All'inizio pensavo - senza una ragione precisa - che non sarebbe stato tanto comodo da usare per via del tipo di confezione e che non si sarebbe sfumato agevolmente. Nulla di più sbagliato. Applicare Fluid Loveè invece veloce, pratico e facile e tutto ciò di cui si ha bisogno è tamponare una piccola quantità di prodotto sulle guance. Si sfumerà poi facilmente anche solo con le dita. Illamasqua Box lipstick
I forgot to add it in the pictures (sorry Box, I love you anyway) but I really have to mention on here one of the best red lipsticks with matte finish that you could possibly encounter (strong statement maybe but that's just true). And ladies, this comes from a person who has definitely more red lipsticks than a person should have.

All'inizio pensavo - senza una ragione precisa - che non sarebbe stato tanto comodo da usare per via del tipo di confezione e che non si sarebbe sfumato agevolmente. Nulla di più sbagliato. Illamasqua Box is a stunning cool red hue, matte yet smooth, even and pigmented. Also long lasting yet comfortable. I couldn't ask for more to a lipstick.
I rely on Box for a night out or a special occasion when I know I'll be drinking, eating and talking for hours. Its quality is that amazing.
Ho scordato di aggiungerlo nelle immagini (scusa Box, ti voglio bene comunque) ma dovevo proprio menzionare in codesto loco uno dei migliori rossetti rossi dal finish matte che potete incontrare (affermazione d'impatto ma è la verità). E questo lo dice una che ha decisamente più rossetti rossi di quanto una singola persona dovrebbe avere.
Illamasqua Boxè una bellissima punta di rosso freddo, matte ma al contempo agevole da stendere, omogeneo e pigmentato. E pure incredibilmente durevole e confortevole. Non credo potrei chiedere di più a un rossetto.
Box è il rosso a cui mi sto affidando in caso di lunghe uscite serali o in occasioni speciali quando so che berrò, mangerò e parlerò per ore. La sua qualità è fantastica a tal punto, sì.

Chloé eau de parfum
I rely on Box for a night out or a special occasion when I know I'll be drinking, eating and talking for hours. Its quality is that amazing.

That's a fairly new addition in the perfume corner in my room. I haven't been much into fragrances for years so I haven't bought a new one in a long while and kept using the ones I already had. However, the good (or should I say the bad) old habit has now made a comeback and thanks to some awesome bargains I spot here and there I've become owner of three new bottles of eau de parfume in the last 6 months or so. Chloé is the latest one and is the fragrance I wore the most in February.
A feminine scent, also sexy in a non conventional way I'd say, with notes of peony, freesia and roses. I hope there will be time for a proper review although I'm not sure to be able to write something useful about a fragrance but we'll see.

Non mi ero più interessata da anni ai profumi e quindi per molto tempo non ne ho acquistate di nuovi ed ho continuato ad usare quelli che già possedevo. Tuttavia, le buone (o mica tanto forse) e vecchie abitudini sono ora tornate in auge e, grazie a super offerte scovate qua e là, sono arrivate tre nuove boccette di profumo negli ultimi 6 mesi circa. Chloéè l'ultimo arrivo ed è il profumo che ho utilizzato di più in febbrario. Una fragranza femminile, direi anche in un certo senso sexy in modo non convenzionale, con note di peonia, fresia e rose.
Mi auguro che ci sia tempo per una review vera e propria, per quanto non sia sicura di riuscire a scrivere qualcosa di estremamente utile in merito ad un profumo, ma vedremo.

Other Favorites
Io che compro un paio di stivaletti. Prossimo evento, neve in agosto. Ho impiegato anni prima di trovare il paio giusto (troppo grandi, troppo brutti, troppo grandi di nuovo, sproporzionati rispetto alle mie caviglie e alle gambe, troppo costosi, tacchi alti come grattacieli, scomodi...) e stentavo a crederci pure io quando ho adocchiato questi qui in un piccolo negozio con gli sconti del 50%.
