It's already time (again) to sum up the favorite products of the month - and I'm even late, actually.
In November I didn't wear much make up but the few times I did, I just used the products mentioned below. So, with a hot cup of tea and some Oreos beside me and the Christmas tree lights blinking in the room (I officially said yes to the festive mood), let's begin with the roundup.

In novembre non ho utilizzato poi molte cose, a dir il vero, ma quelle volte in cui mi sono truccata l'ho fatto restando fedele ai prodotti elencati più giù. Quindi con una tazza di tè caldo fumante con tanto di Oreo da una parte e le luci dell'albero di Natale al di là del monitor del pc (mi sono ufficialmente calata nell'atmosfera natalizia), iniziamo con il riassunto.
YSL Touche Eclat & Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum foundations
These are my go-to foundations by now (applied with the Real Techniques buffing brush, another absolute favorite of mine that I should mention in every single 'monthly favorites' post though).
I wouldn't spend many words about these foundations since I already wrote a quick review of the YSL Touche Eclat here and I drop some lines about the Bourjous one here.
Though after some months of use, I still like both a lot and I'm quite impressed wih the price/quality ratio of the Bourjois foundation.
Questi ormai sono i fondotinta su cui punto quasi quotidianamente in questo periodo (stesi col Buffing brush di Real Techniques, che dovrei citare nei preferiti di ogni mese). Sul Touche Eclat avevo accennato qualcosa qui, mentre del Healthy Mix Serum trovate qualche riga qui. Se mi addentrassi in una descrizione, ripeterei le stesse cose temo. Comunque, a distanza di mesi, continuano a piacermi entrambi e sono rimasta davvero piacevolmente colpita dall'ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo del fondo Bourjois.

Deborah Lippmann Mermaid's Dreams nail polish

I'd been wanted it for so long but Deborah Lippmann is not sold in Italy and it's also pretty hard to find online in Europe in general. Then, I noticed Beautybay had become a retailer and when this shade, after months, came back in stock I ordered one right off the bat - knowing how fast it goes out of stock every time.
I like it, a lot, and I find it an original and complex varnish. To me it's even worth the price.

Lo volevo da non so neanch'io quanto (un anno sicuramente) ma un po' per la difficoltà nel reperirlo, un po' per la cifra, avevo sempre evitato. Finché l'ho notato dopo un super restock di smalti Deborah Lippmann su BeautyBay e l'ho acquistato al volo, sapendo quanto in fretta torna out of stock ogni volta.
Mi piace, molto, e lo trovo uno smalto davvero originale e complesso che, a parer mio, vale pure la pena comprare nonostante il costo.
A true, deep red I re-discovered in November while it was lying in my lipstick stash. It's one of those lipsticks I almost regretted buying (downsides of online shopping) as I thought it was too similar to other lipsticks I have (downsides of being a lipstick junkie). But taking a careful look, once applied is not so identical to something else I own overall (or maybe, since I wear red lipstick more often than last year, I can justify having similar reds now - I'd call it insanity, but still...). However, it's really beautiful and on the lips is nothing like it looks in the tube: much less dark and more easily wearable.
It's a limited edition lipstick but Mac is going to repromote it again as part of the Making Pretty collection.
Un rosso pieno che ho riscoperto in novembre mentre giaceva mezzo dimenticato tra gli altri rossetti (non si fa, lo so lo so, mi ginocchio sui ceci).
È uno di quei prodotti che mi stavo quasi pentendo di aver acquistato (i lati negativi di dover effettuare ordini online) perché pensavo fosse troppo troppo simile ad altri rossi che già avevo (i lati negativi di essere una maniaca dei rossetti). Ma una volta applicato e osservandolo meglio non è così tremendamente identico a qualcosa che già ho, tutto sommato (o forse sarà che i rossi li indosso molto di più quest'anno rispetto allo scorso e quindi riesco pure a giustificare il possederne alcuni di sfumature un po' diverse - la definirei follia mentale a dir il vero, ma tralasciamo).
Comunque sia, è bello, davvero, e sulle labbra ha davvero poco a che fare col colore che si nota nello stick: è meno scuro e di più facile uso.
Era un prodotto in edizione limitata ('na cosa nuova...) ma Mac lo riproporrà nella collezione Making Pretty (se arriverà mai in Italia).
Illamasqua Magnetism lipstick
I knew it was a nice shade but I didn't think I would like it so much.
It's a sort of muted raspberry color (but it changes hue in some lights) and I love wearing it especially during the day under natural light when, against my fair complexion, it looks like a deep raspberry color with a hint of red. I find it so pretty for the winter season and texture wise it's totally different from the other Illamasqua lipsticks, as it's creamy, buildable, a bit glossy and doesn't dry my lips out.
Sapevo già che era un colore meritevole ma non credevo mi sarebbe piaciuto così tanto.
È una sorta di color lampone spento (ma varia parecchio sfumatura a seconda delle luci) e mi piace indossarlo soprattutto di giorno sotto una luce naturale, quando a contrasto con la mia carnagione chiara risulta un lampone pieno e un po' scuro, con una leggera vena rossa. È una tonalità che trovo ultra azzeccata per la stagione invernale e, in merito alla texture, è differente da tutti gli altri rossetti Illamasqua: è cremoso, modulabile, un po' lucido e non mi secca le labbra.
Wet 'n Wild Cherry Picking lipstick
I almost bought the Mac limited edition lipstick in Love Goddess when the Marilyn Collection came out but the price increase because of the special packaging was a turn off. Then, I found out (thanks Google!) that this Wet n Wild lipstick, which I already had, color wise is similar to the Mac one.
I've been using this quite a lot and I'm pleasantly surprised to see how long it lasts on me.
Gorgeous color, not really drying, good lasting power, extremely inexpensive. Thumbs up!
Quando è uscita la collezione di Mac dedicata a Marilyn Monroe ero quasi tentata di acquistare il rossetto Love Goddess ma l'incremento del prezzo dato solo dal packaging - che non incontrava neppure il mio gusto - mi ha fatta desistere. Poi, a sorpresa (Google è mio amico!) ho scoperto che questo rossetto Wet n Wild, che già avevo, ha un colore che non è poi così diverso da quello Mac.
Lo sto usando abbastanza spesso e mi ha anche piacevolmente colpita per quanto dura sulle labbra.
È un colore magnifico, abbastanza confortevole, resiste a lungo ed è estremamente economico. Promosso!
Outlaw is the blush I wanted to pick as my first Nars blush but it had been already discontinued at that time. Nars repromoted it in one of its latest collections and added it to the permanent line again, so as soon as my budget let me placing an order, I bought it without thinking twice. It's a kind of dark raspberry color that I love wearing especially during Autumn and Winter.
Sin instead is the most recent addition to my blush drawer and I feel that, formula wise, it can become one of the best blushes I own. The color looks nothing special in the pan but once applied it warms up my face nicely without looking too obvious.
Outlaw è il blush che volevo acquistare in qualità di mio primissimo blush di Nars, ma all'epoca Nars l'aveva già messo fuori produzione. Recentemente però l'ha riproposto in una delle sue ultime collezioni - e aggiunto di nuovo alla linea permanente - e così, quando il budget me l'ha permesso, non ci ho pensato due volte prima di ordinarlo. È una tonalità che mi piace particolarmente portare in autunno ed inverno (per non parlare di quanto rende con un rossetto rosso, vinaccia et similia).
Sin invece è l'ultimo arrivato nel porta blush ed ho proprio l'impressione che abbia tutte le carte in regola per aggiudicarsi l'etichetta di uno dei blush migliori che possiedo, in quanto a formula.
Il colore poi non sembra nulla di speciale visto nella confezione, ma una volta applicato scalda l'incarnato in modo gradevole senza risultare troppo artificiale.
I have this for more than half a year now but I've started to truly appreciate it just recently (it usually takes me ages to form an opinion about makeup brushes and review them).
I'd like to talk about it in a proper post but for now I can say it blends amazingly even the most pigmented blush, creating a really natural effect and allows you to apply the blush easily without overdoing it. Nars Sin is one of those shade I couldn't easily apply without this, for example (super pigmented blush+fair skin=not always a good match).
Questo non è un acquisto recente, tutt'altro, ormai l'avrò da più di mezzo anno ma ho iniziato ad apprezzarlo seriamente solo di recente (i pennelli sono un qualcosa che faccio sempre fatica a recensire in due e due quattro e di norma ho bisogno di tempi abbastanza biblici per farmi un'opinione precisa in merito). Vorrei parlare in modo più approfondito di questo pennello in un post dedicato ma per ora posso dire che sfuma benissimo anche il blush più pigmentato, creando un effetto davvero naturale, e permette di applicare i blush facilmente senza incorrere nell'alto rischio dell'effetto macchia. Per dire, non riuscirei ad applicar Sin di Nars, che ho menzionato poco più sopra, con la stessa facilità se non avessi questo pennello (blush ultra pigmentati+pelle chiara=non sempre sono un'ottima accoppiata).
Lush Let the Good Times Roll cleanser
Do you need this? I'd say yes. It's unusual that a face cleanser impresses me since the first use. But this one did. It's a scrubby face cleanser that leaves the skin extremely soft and, what's even more impressive for me, nourished and moisturized. Ah, did I mention it smells like a pie to me?
Avete bisogno di questo (che da noi si chiama Maisenza)? Io direi di sì. È raro che un detergente mi colpisca sin dal primo utilizzo. Ma questo ci è riuscito. È un detergente viso ad azione scrub che rende la pelle estremamente morbida e, cosa che mi ha ancor più colpita, la rende anche nutrita ed idratata. Ho poi già detto che per me odora di torta?
