Here we are. Christmas is around the corner and the role of Grinch doesn't really suit me. I love to immerse myself in the festive mood: the warmth of home and of hot tea, the Christmas lights adorning the streets or the lights on the Christmas tree blinking in the room. Those things make me think of some happy childhood memories, but that's another story and I'm afraid it doesn't interest you.

To me it is a honest and trustworthy foundation, one of the best in the beauty scenario actually, where many brands spout off about "charity" but at the end of the day they donate to the cause a mere 10% or just a few cents. (So, kudos for you Mac!)

MAC Viva Glam I is described as a matte but it looks more of a satin lipstick to me, as it's not drying and it's not extremely matte. It's not bright and it's that kind of classic red with a vintage vibe, not too cold, not too warm but well balanced instead, and I can see this being flattering on many complexions.

Okay, ci siamo. La festività che preferisco, compleanni a parte, è ormai alle porte e si sarà capito che la parte del Grinch che odia il Natale proprio non fa per me (in compenso odio la neve, se può compensare). Mi piace immergermi nell'atmosfera del Natale, il calore di casa, di una tazza di té caldo, le luci che decorano le vie o che lampeggiano intermittenti nelle stanze. Mi fa sempre pensare a certi bei momenti e ricordi d'infanzia, ma qui ci addentriamo in un'altra storia che dubito vi interessi.
Forse invece è più di comune interesse ciò che ho pensato di organizzare qui sul blog (aka un dallovia, siori e siore)!
Avevo un po' di idee sul regalo da fare ma alla fine ho scelto quest'opzione perché preferisco fare una sorta di "doppio" regalo.
L'avrete già intuito, ma il rischio qui è di portarsi a casa un rossetto MAC: il Viva Glam I!
Se mi seguite saprete già quanto apprezzo la linea Viva Glam di MAC (del resto chi non ne apprezza il fine?), okay per le tonalità, ma soprattutto per il 100% del ricavato di ogni vendita che se ne va dritto alla MAC Aids Fund, associazione quasi ventennale di Mac che aiuta le persone affette dal virus del HIV (potete leggere maggiori informazioni qui e qui).
A me la fondazione è sempre sembrata seria, nonché una delle migliori all'interno dello scenario attuale in cui molti brand si trincerano dietro la parola 'beneficenza' ma alla causa donano poi il 5% o pochi centesimi.
(quindi brava Mac, kudos for you!)
Aggiungiamo che l'1 dicembre - giornata mondiale per la lotta all'AIDS - per ogni prodotto Viva Glam acquistato online la donazione alla MAC AIDS Fund veniva raddoppiata...e quindi non ho potuto fare a meno di effettuare un ordine ed ordinare anche una cosa in più per chi mi segue con affetto.
Il Viva Glam I è descritto come un matte ma a conti fatti sembra più un satin; non secca e non è estremamente opaco. Non è un rosso acceso ma ricorda piuttosto una delle classiche tonalità di rosso dai richiami vintage. È ben bilanciato, non lo vedo né troppo freddo né troppo caldo e penso possa donare a svariate carnagioni (calde o fredde, chiare o più scure). Spero possa piacere anche a voi quanto piace a me!
Nota: quello usato che vedete in foto è il mio. Voi ovviamente ne riceverete un altro, nuovo, mai toccato e dentro alla sua scatola ;)
