Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant
I gave much love to this face scrub, before a Clarisonic came in my life - but I still use it when my dry skin needs more (mild) exfoliation or if I don't use the Clarisonic for many days in a row.
I remember when I gave it a first try I was immediately impressed with the result: a visibly brighter complexion and soft to the touch with no redness.
It's in fact made of a white (rice-based enzyme) powder that activates upon contact with water, rather than of distinct harsh particles which exfoliate with a mechanical action.
Ho dato tanto affetto a questo scrub viso, prima che un Clarisonic entrasse nella mia vita - ma lo utilizzo ancora quando la mia pelle secca richiede quella dose di (blanda) esfoliazione in più o quando non uso il Clarisonic per più giorni di fila.
Ricordo che la prima volta che l'ho utilizzato ero rimasta colpita dal risultato: un incarnato visibilmente più luminoso e liscio al tatto senza rossori.
Il Microfoliant infatti non è formato da distinte e ruvide particelle che esfoliano mediante un'azione meccanica, ma da un polvere bianca i cui ingredienti si attivano con l'acqua, attuando una sorta di scrub 'chimico' (sì, il nome spaventa un attimo, ma in realtà è blando e delicato).
Steamcream
I sung its praises more than once and it's one of my absolute must-have. I've even bought a second tin and that says it all.
It's a light yet rich multipurpose cream for face, body and hands. I love using it as body cream although I don't use it for that task on a regular basis because, due to the small tin, I'd finish it up pretty quickly and it's not the case since the price tag isn't the cheapest.
I like to apply it also on my hands but even more as a face cream when I need a hydration boost or in summer when my dry skin needs some moisture but without feeling 'heavy' or too greasy.
It also smells of lavender and has good ingredients. What more could I ask from a cream? (A cheaper price tag maybe, but the frequent promotions offered by some retailers help a bit).
Ne ho decantato le lodi più di qualche volta ed è uno dei miei prodotti in assoluto non-resto-senza. Ne ho già acquistato una seconda confezione e questo dice tutto.
È una crema multiuso per viso, corpo e mani, leggera ma al contempo ricca. La apprezzo moltissimo come crema corpo ma cerco di non usarla regolarmente per tale funzione perché, vista la quantità ridotta nella confezione, finirei col terminarla molto in fretta e non sarebbe il caso, dal momento che il prezzo non è esattamente il più economico.
Mi piace anche come crema mani ma ancor di più come crema viso quando ho bisogno di quell'idratazione in più o in estate quando la mia pelle a tendenza secca necessita di essere sì idratata, ma senza la sensazione di pesantezza che spesso hanno le creme molto nutrienti.
Profuma di lavanda ed ha buoni ingredienti all'interno.
No dico, cosa posso chiedere di più ad una crema? Che mi faccia figa come Adriana Lima magari - credici! - o sia più economica magari, ma se non altro le frequenti promozioni offerte dai rivenditori aiutano un po'. Per il secondo punto. Per il primo serve solo un miracolo, temo.

Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish
Let me introduce you my third bottle of Cleanse & Polish.
It's beyond famous in the beauty community and there's plenty of people raving about it.
Well, I'm one of them. I swear by this cleanser and although I tried other face cleansers I've always come back to this.
(I also forgot to take photos of the Liz Earle Instant Boost Skin Tonic which is another favorite of mine and I've recently repurchased a second bottle of it).

Clarisonic Classic
I purchased the Clarisonic in August 2012 and I've been using it almost every day since then.
I'm glad I took the plunge and bought it, but maybe my skin is even more glad than me.
This contraption has become an essential step in my skincare routine, in my makeup remover routine to be precise - instead, I try not to use it in days when I don't wear foundation or makeup in general.
I can see that my skin is brighter and does feel and look cleaner since I use it.
I should write a proper review!
Ho acquistato il Clarisonic nell'agosto 2012 e da allora lo sto usando quasi ogni giorno.
Sono contenta di essermi buttata e di averlo comprato, ma forse chi è ancor più entusiasta è la mia pelle. Questo aggeggio è diventato uno step essenziale nella mia routine viso, o meglio, nella fase di struccaggio - non lo utilizzo invece nei giorni in cui non indosso fondotinta o non mi trucco in generale.
Da quando lo uso la mia pelle è meno spenta e più pulita da piccole imperfezioni sottocutanee. Ma la sento, e vedo, anche più pulita dopo ogni utilizzo.
Dovrei proprio scriverne una review!

Pantene Pro-V mousse for curly hair
I've switched to another styling product only recently but this was my styling mousse for something like 10 years - I kid you not, I started using it when I was only 14 (Oh.My.)
However, lately I've found quite hard to find this specific version for curly hair in the shops (hope it's not discontinued) so I decided that I could give a try to something new.
This is a good product to define curly or wavy hair that doesn't make it dry or crunchy though.

Ultimamente però, da mesi, sta diventando parecchio difficile trovare questa versione per capelli ricci nei negozi della mia zona (spero che Pantene non l'abbia tolta dal commercio) ed ho quindi deciso di dare una chance a qualcosa di nuovo.
Questo nello specifico lo trovo un buon prodotto per definire i capelli ricci o mossi: non li secca e non li rende incollati né crea un effetto di mosso artificiale.
Garnier Natural Beauty - raspberry and henna shampoo
Again, I've been using this shampoo for...8-9 years now. Unbelievable, I know.
I also know it'd be better change shampoo once in a while but I don't feel ready to leave it yet.
I added another shampoo in my routine to alternate it with though - it's a step forward after all.
This shampoo does contain little traces of henna and, despite they are at the end of the ingredient lists, I'd swear I started to notice auburn highlights in my hair years ago, when I started to use this shampoo.
Bonus: if you're concerned by silicones, this shampoo doesn't have any.
Di nuovo, anche questo shampo lo sto usando da...8-9 anni ormai. Incredibile, me ne rendo conto.
E mi rendo pure conto che sarebbe bene variare shampo di tanto in tanto ma non mi sento ancora pronta per abbandonarlo al suo triste destino sullo scaffale del supermercato.
Ho recentemente aggiunto alla mia routine un altro shampoo da alternare - è già un passo avanti dopo tutto.
Questo Garnier Ultra Dolce all'aceto di mora contiene anche delle piccole tracce di henné e, nonostante siano agli ultimi posti della lista ingredienti, giurerei di aver iniziato a notare dei riflessi ramati sui capelli solo anni fa, dopo aver cominciato ad usare questo shampo.
Bonus: se la presenza di siliconi nei prodotti per capelli non è nelle vostre corde, questo non ne ha.
Artégo up and down hairspray
My hairdresser gave this to me and unfortunately I have no idea you can find one - admit it's a brand I never heard of before.
After trying it I said to myself "no more aerosol hair sprays". This is in fact liquid and you can spray it even upside down, which makes easier using it when doing hair myself - which always happens.
La mia parrucchiera mi aveva dato tempo fa questa confezione gigante e purtroppo non ho idea di dover potreste mai trovarlo - ammetto anche che è un marchio che non avevo mai sentito prima.
Dopo averlo provato mi sono detta "mai più lacche spray". Questo è infatti liquido e può essere spruzzato anche a testa in giù, il che rende molto semplice (per un'impedita come me almeno) usarlo quando mi faccio i capelli da me - cioè sempre.
A rolled up brown sock?
Yes, it is! The most cheap hair accessory ever and my favorite method to make my hair curly.
I loathe using curling/flattening irons for two reasons:
a. My hair is wavy and I like it this way and I'm afraid to ruin or straight it down using irons
b. My hair doesn't like irons as well and it doesn't hold the style for more than one hour
I love using a simple sock instead.
Maybe I'll do a photo post (just for fun, not because we need another 'sock bun tutorial') but for now, in case you have no idea what I'm rambling about, try to google it and a new world will open to you! ;)
Un calzino arrotolato?
Sì, lo è. L'accessorio per capelli più economico della storia ed anche il mio metodo preferito per rendere i capelli ancor più ricci.
Devo prima dire, però, che io detesto con tutta me stessa le piastre/ferri per capelli per due motivi:
a. I miei capelli sono mossi di natura, mi va benissimo che siano così ed ho il terrore di rovinarli o di lisciarli nel tempo utilizzando piastrecazziemazzi.
b. Di rimando, anche i miei capelli non amano ferri e piastre e non reggono la piega (specie se riccia a boccoli) per più di un'ora
Quindi preferisco usare un banalissimo calzino!
Forse ne farò un foto post (giusto per diletto, non perché si senta la necessità del trecentordicesimo tutorial sul 'sock bun') ma per ora, in caso non abbiate idea di cosa stia vaneggiando, provate a cercare su Google perché vi si aprirà un nuovo mondo! ;)
Perfumes
Intimissimi eau de toilette
Chanel who? Joking aside, I know it's nothing fancy but man if I love this scent!
Intimissimi is an italian lingerie brand but also makes some clothes and a couple of beauty products among which this perfume. Despite not being a beauty label, it's kinda pricey at 38€ though, but at least the bottle is huge (100ml).
The fragrance is very talc scented, which I adore, and has a warmth, kinda sexy vibe to me, without being heavy or sickly. It's a powerful scent and one to two spritz are enough though.
I like to describe it as a "so-me fragrance" (but I'd not call me sexy, lol) or as a "lighter and fresher version of Chanel n°5" - which is another perfume I like a lot for the wintertime but they are not dupes by any means.
Chanel chi? Vabè, scherzi penosi a parte, so che non è nulla di trascendentale ma: oddio se amo questa fragranza.
Intimissimi infatti oltre alla lingerie produce anche un paio di prodotti per il corpo, tra cui questo profumo. Nonostante non si tratti di chissà che azienda del settore beauty, non ve lo tirano esattamente dietro visto che costa 38€, ma se non altro la boccetta è gigante (100ml).
La fragranza è molto talcata, cosa che adoro, ed ha un alone caldo, quasi sexy secondo me, senza risultare 'troppo' o nauseante. È comunque abbastanza strong e duratura e una o due spruzzate sono già abbastanza.
Mi piace descriverla come un "profumo-da-me" (a parte il fatto che io al massimo posso essere sexy come un lavandino) o come una "versione più leggera e fresca di Chanel n°5" - che è uno dei profumi che mi piace particolarmente nel periodo invernale, ma non sono comunque né dupe né interscambiabili sotto nessun punto di vista.
