Una vecchia foto scattata anni fa. Nulla di speciale, nulla di perfetto in quanto a tecnica ma mi piace ugualmente e volevo caricarla qui sopra. Lo so, il soggetto questa volta è diverso da ciò che solitamente metto nei post "pics of the day" ma ho deciso di condividere qualche tematica un po' differente una volta ogni tanto. Questo blog riguarda la bellezza, okay, ma mi piacerebbe se in qualche modo riuscissi ad introdurre anche qualcosa più legato alla bellezza "interiore" (no no, niente pipponi e saggi filosofici), una "bellezza" a 360°, in un certo senso. L'idea iniziale che sta dietro Dotted Around non era quella di parlare solamente di rossetti, swatches e review, ma pensavo che avrei preferito creare anche post un po' più differenti: foto random, soggetti random, foto ricordo scattate in luoghi che ho visitato, alcune idee DIY non necessariamente legate al mondo del make-up e così via. Amo il make-up - s'era capito eh? - ma tuttavia è solo una piccolissima parte della mia personalità e talvolta è come se trovassi il blog un po' limitante, per quanto riguarda l'esprimermi come si deve - nel senso, è il mio blog, lo adoro, cerco di farlo crescere e ci sono affezionata ma alcune volte è come se rappresentasse solo il 5% di me. Quindi, d'ora in poi, impegni permettendo, vedrò di fare del mio meglio per plasmare il blog anche verso questa strada e aggiustare un po' il tiro, creando ogni tanto dei post che si discostino dalla classica review cosmetica; pur sempre restando su temi leggeri - le tematiche serie le conosciamo tutte ma voglio che il mio blog rimanga con quella dose di frivolezza q.b. che nella vita non guasta.
Inizio giusto oggi (nuovo mese, nuovo post, no?) con questa foto ed una new entry: il sottofondo musicale, che mi è stato ispirato dall'immagine qui sopra.
(no, aspé, trattenete gli anatemi perché non si tratta dei simpaticissimi player che partono in automatico facendoti sobbalzare sulla sedia - oltre che a farti perdere 5 minuti per capire quale cippa di finestra del browser sarà a suonare sta roba. Qua parte tutto a vostra discrezione).

An old photo taken years ago. Nothing special, nothing perfect in terms of technique but I kinda like it anyway and I thought I would upload it on here. I know, this time the subject is different from the "pics of the day" I usually post but I decided to share some different subjects once in a while. This blog is about beauty, of course, but I wish it is a bit more about "inner" beauty as well, beauty at 360 degrees.The initial idea behind Dotted Around wasn't to talk only about lipsticks, swatches and stuff or only writing reviews, but I thought it would be nicer to do different types of post too: random pics, random subjects, photos of different places where I've been, some DIYs not necessarily beauty-related and so on. I do love make-up - can you tell? - but overall it's only a very little part of my personality and sometimes I find the blog kinda limiting for me in a sense - I mean, it's like it represents just 5% of me. So, from now on, I'll do my best, engagements permitting, to shape the blog in this way, posting something different from make-up every now and then and I start today (new month, new post, right?) with this old "golden hour" photo and a background music that is related to the photo for me.
(no no no, wait. This is not one of those annoying players that start playing automatically making you fall off your chair with fright - and making you waste 5 minutes to understand which one of your browser tabs is playing this stuff. The song starts only if you press play here!).
