Ready for another belated episode of monthly favorites? Let's move straight onto the products then, without digressing too much since I have no idea what to say in this intro except for the good old topic ("time really flies, guys!").
Pronti per un altro episodio in ritardo dei preferiti del mese? Ecco spostiamoci subito a parlare dei prodotti senza divagare troppo visto che non ho idea di cosa dire in questa intro che non sia il solito vecchio "ragazzi, il tempo vola!"
Caudalie Parfum Divin*
I don't know if you have given a whiff to the Caudalie Divine Oil and are already aware of how heavenly it smells, but if you haven't, go and do it! *wink*
And in case you fall in love, or you are already head over heels, with the scent here there's good news: the Parfum Divin has the exact same fragrance but is, quite obviously, in form of a true perfume. There are notes of rose, vanilla and musk and I found myself reaching for this golden bottle a lot. I didn't expect to like it this much in this season, when I tend to go for fresher scents - and this one didn't sound like that in the description. However, although it still is a warm fragrance, at the end of the day it's more suitable for spring and summer than winter, in my humble opinion. It feels polished, delicate yet comforting and very feminine. It cheers me up in a sense.
The only thing I'd change is the lasting power which isn't excellent on my skin and I do need to re-spray it after about 3 hours.
Non so se avete sentito l'Olio Divino di Caudalie e siete già al corrente del suo profumo, ma se non l'avete fatto, correte.
E in caso vi innamoriate, o siate già state rapite, dalla profumazione qua ci sono delle buone notizie: il Parfum Divin ha la stessa identica fragranza ma è, ovviamente aggiungerei, sottoforma di un vero e proprio profumo. Ci sono note di rosa, vaniglia e muschio e mi sono ritrovata a cercare ed usare questa boccetta dorata molto spesso. In tutta onestà non credevo che l'avrei apprezzata a questo livello in questa stagione, dove tendo ad andare per profumi freschi e questo di Caudalie non suona così dalla descrizione. Eppure, per quanto rimanga sicuramente una fragranza calda, alla fine la sento ancor più adatta in primavera ed estate piuttosto che in inverno. È fine, delicata ma al contempo avvolgente e femminile. Mi mette il buonumore, in un certo senso.
L'unico aspetto che modificherei è la durata, che purtroppo non è eccelsa sulla mia pelle ed ho necessità di ri-applicarlo dopo circa 3 ore.
Bourjois CC cream
You know the amazing things you've probably heard about this cc cream? Well, they are all right.
It's the only base I've been using lately and being the foundation lover (hoarder?) I am, that's no small thing. After a first puzzlement (my bad, I hadn't applied moisturizer for 2 days in a row and my skin was very dry), you can now count me in the crowd of bloggers who have fallen in love with this cc cream. Lightweight, natural yet with a good coverage. I dare say it's nothing less than many high end bases. Another 'thumbs up' for Bourjois!
Avete presente tutte le meraviglie che probabilmente avete già sentito su questa cc cream, specie se seguite i blog stranieri? Ecco, sono tutte vere.
È l'unica base che sto usando ultimamente e per l'amante (accaparratrice?) di basi viso che sono, ciò non è cosa da poco. Dopo un primo momento di dubbio (mea culpa, non applicavo una crema idratante da 2 giorni e la pelle era come il deserto), ora mi potete contare tra la schiera di blogger che si sono convertite a questa cc cream. Leggera, naturale eppure con una coprenza niente male. Oserei dire che non ha nulla da invidiare a molte basi costose. Un altro 'thumbs up' per Bourjois!
Guerlain Rouge G L'Extrait Orgueil
One of my favorite lipsticks, ever. I know it's a big statement but that's just the truth.
Orgueil is for me the perfect deep mix of red and berry and the color I choose every time I wanna go for an effect screaming 'va va voom'.
I also love the formula: it's indeed a liquid lipstick but it quickly sets and dries down to a matte finish. It doesn't smudge, it's comfortable to wear and on me it lasts for hours, even through meals.
Uno dei miei rossetti preferiti, di sempre. Eh lo so, è un'affermazione forte(?) ma è questa la verità.
Orgueil per me è il perfetto mix di rosso e berry dalla sfumatura profonda; nonché il colore che scelgo ogni volta che voglio un effetto "wow" (oggi la mia capacità di citare termini tecnici è alle stelle).
Mi piace moltissimo anche la formula: è un rossetto liquido, sì, ma si fissa in fretta e va ad asciugarsi in un finish matte. Non sbava, non si muove, è confortevole da portare e mi dura ore, anche coi pasti di mezzo.
Illamasqua Furore pigment
I would describe it as a champagne color with finest shimmer and some glitter here and there. I used to be too lazy to often work with pigments but something has changed since Furore came home with me (a few months ago). After all I just have to dip the brush in the pigment coming out the hole of the plastic packaging. There's no need to pour it out on the back of the hand. It's not all that messy after all and the MAC 239 picks up the color well with very minimal fallout.
Furore is a simple shade that may not catch your attention at first, however it turns out to be one those versatile shades that eventually you use more often than many others. It looks really luminous and istantly brightens up the lid and the overall look.
I love to apply it all over the lid and pair it with my signature thick line of black eyeliner.
Lo descriverei come un color champagne con shimmer finissimi e qualche piccolo glitter sparso.
Sono sempre stata troppo pigra per mettermi ad armeggiare spesso coi pigmenti, ma qualcosa è cambiato da quando Furore è giunto pochi mesi fa nella sua nuova dimora (sì insomma, casa mia).
Dopo tutto, l'unica cosa che devo fare è intingere il pennello nel pigmento che fuorisce dal foro della confezione. Non c'è bisogno di versarlo sul dorso della mano e non è poi così problematico in fin dei conti. Tra l'altro il pennello 239 di MAC trovo che riesca a prelevare bene il colore con fallout davvero minimo.
Furore è una tonalità semplie che può essere etichettata come "nulla di che" all'inizio, eppure si rivela essere uno di quei toni versatili che alla fine si usano molto più spesso di tanti altri. È molto luminoso ed accende e apre lo sguardo.
Di solito lo stendo su tutta la palpebra e lo abbino alla mia classica riga spessa di eyeliner nero.
Nars Orgasm blush
We all know what this blush is like, don't we?
Some love it, others hate it. I personally do appreciate it and find myself searching for it every year when the summer approaches. It delivers that healthy glowy look that's perfect to me for this season. Not to mention the shade that is a jolly and matches a good array of lip colors.

Alcune lo amano, altre lo odiano. Io personalmente lo apprezzo e mi ritrovo irrimediabilmente a cercarlo ogni anno quando l'estate inizia ad avvicinarsi.
Ricrea sul viso quell'effetto di salute e luminosità che trovo perfetto per questa stagione. Senza tralasciare il colore che è una sorta di jolly e si abbina ad una discreta varietà di rossetti.
Nabla Liquid tech blush in Plump*
Convenient, travel friendly, easy to use and to blend with fingers. What more can I say to make you rush to the Nabla website and grab one? That's also a pretty, buildable fuchsia and that it lasts on me even for 7 hours.
Comodo, ottimo da portare in viaggio, facile da usare e da sfumare con le dita. Che altro posso dirvi per farvi correre sul sito Nabla ad arraffarne uno? Che è anche un fucsia modulabile e che su di me dura pure circa 7 ore.
Neve Cosmetics Manga Brows pencil*
When I received this pencil I thought it would be way too light for me. Who knew that someday it would become one of my favorites?
Actually, now I think I prefer a lighter pencil rather than a perfectly matching one as the overall result appears less harsh and that's what I want for an everyday makeup.
Thanks to this pencil I've added the "brows step" in my daily beauty routine - which means I retouch them even if I just have to go to the supermarket - and despite genes blessed me with full brows, I found out they look a lot better (polished I'd say) with a bit of definition on the upper edges.
The only problem I'm experiencing with this pencil is that I'm going through only one side because the opposite one isn't the best match for my liking.

Quando ho ricevuto questa matita ho subito pensato che sarebbe stata troppo chiara per me. E invece chi l'avrebbe detto che alla fine sarebbe arrivata tra i preferiti?
Anzi ora mi ritrovo a preferire una matita più chiara piuttosto di una dello stesso identico colore delle mie sopracciglia/capelli. Il risultato generale è più soft, meno marcato e severo e lo trovo ideale per un makeup quotidiano.
È grazie a questa matita se ho inserito lo "step sopracciglia" nella mia biuti routine giornaliera - il che significa semplicemente che le ritocco anche se devo uscire per poche commissioni - e nonostante la genetica mi abbia dotata di sopracciglia già piene, ho scoperto che appaiono migliori (più in ordine, direi) con un tocco di definizione sui margini superiori.
L'unico problema che sto riscontrando è che sto consumando solamente un lato della matita, poiché quello opposto non è di un tono con cui mi vedo particolarmente.Qui trovate swatch e pseudo review.

Mac Heroine lip pencil & MAC Prep+prime
The beauty blogosphere (did I really say blogosphere like we were in 2004? Apparently I did) is talking a lot about Mac Heroine lipstick. I tried it on but I'm still on the fence with it. On the contrary I love applying the matching pencil all over the lips over a layer of Prep+prime, which makes the lips smoother and let the pencils glide on more easily. So, why I'm still not convinced by the lipstick but I love the pencil, you may wonder. Simply because they can be combined together but they're not the exact same color and, odd but true, the slight difference between the two (with the lipstick being cooler and a touch deeper) translates into a huge difference on my lips. Basically, Heroine lip pencil is what I hoped Mac Flat Out Fabulous lipstick was: a magenta color with a hint of violet.
(unfortunately that lipstick on me is just like other hundreds of cool fuchsia lipsticks and the violet doesn't show up at all).

Al contrario, sto felicemente utilizzando su tutte le labbra la matita abbinata, sopra uno strato di Prep+prime che le rende più lisce e fa scorrere le matite labbra molto più agevolmente. Quindi, com'è che il rossetto non mi ha rapita ma la matita omonima lo ha fatto, forse vi chiederete (o forse no, vabbè, ve lo dico lo stesso). Semplicemente perché possono essere combinati assieme ma non sono lo stesso identico colore e, strano ma vero, la sottile differenza tra i due (il rossetto è più freddo, un pelo più viola e profondo) si traduce in una grande differenza sulle mie labbra. Di base, la matita Heroine è ciò che speravo fosse il rossetto Flat Out Fabulous di Mac: un color magenta con un accenno viola.
(su di me quel rossetto è un normalissimo fucsia freddo come mille altri ed il viola non si vede neanche col lanternino).
